Description:
1. Background & Rationale
Pakistan faces rising unemployment, particularly among youth and women from marginalized communities. In twin cities like Islamabad and Rawalpindi, informal settlements lack access to structured skill development opportunities.
“Hunar Se KhudMukhtari” aims to bridge this gap by equipping beneficiaries with market-driven vocational and entrepreneurial skills and market connectivity, enabling income generation, financial independence, and dignity.
2. Project Goal
To enhance economic self-reliance among marginalized youth and women through demand-driven skill development and livelihood opportunities.
3. Specific Objectives
1. Train 300 beneficiaries (70% women) in market-relevant skills
2. Enable at least 40% trainees to secure income opportunities
3. Support 50 micro-enterprises/startups
4. Build linkages with private sector and digital marketplaces
